A devoted yogi who has tried many mats
I am a yoga instructor that teaches hot classes at least three times a week. I purchased the mat because the claim was that the user would NOT slip during a hot class. I was skeptical because I've tried many other brands that claim their mat would not slip....well they did. So, because of the price, I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed. In fact I was surprised and amazed that the mat actually worked. It worked so well that I purchased another but different color. I enjoy the thickness of the mat. I have boney knees and thin mats do work for me but this mat is great cushioning for my knees. Another benefit of this mat is it dries quickly....sometimes too quick. If you wet the too far ahead of time for the practice begins the mat will be dry. So after a practice I leave the mat out for about 30 minutes and it's dry. Probably the only down side to the mat that it will not dry as quick if left rolled up. That's not a complaint but just an observation. Other mats that I've had in the past had to be left unrolled to dry which would take a couple of days. To summarize this is the best mat I've ever had!!!!
